Our Muddy sidewalk - post flood

The flood is over... for now. We will have a 7 foot tide @ 10:30 am, and more rain on the way.

Lot's of mud in downtown fairfax, particularly on the center / bolinas block.

Mono Ave seemed to be the hardest hit. A couple of cars floated out into the street from the curb when the flooding was at it's worst.

Everyone we talked to was ok... just a little shaken up.

Happy New Year, how about some flooding?

We woke up this morning to a flash flood surrounding the Johnston casa. We are essentially surrounded by water. The street in front and to the side of our house is a river, and the San Anselmo creek behind us is about a foot deep into our back yard.

The good news is, we are ok. We have electricity (and wifi). We are being told to stay in the house.

Also, becuase of our neighbors early morning call, i was able to move the ultimate driving machine before water could get in under the floor boards and the engine.

Tummytime

Tummytime is going much better these days. Now that Melina knows how to roll she seems to tolerate tummytime much better. When she has had enough she just rolls herself over.

Merry Christmas to all. We are staying in CA this year with the little one. I miss my family back in KY, but I certainly don't miss traveling over Christmas.

Melina has no idea what is going on, but seems to like all of the lights. And Elmo.
