Our trip to Kauai
January 16, 2008We spent the first week of the new year in Kauai with some friends. They have a son Mel's age so the kids had been talking about swimming, the beach and turtles for weeks. We had beautiful weather all week, it didn't rain once which is rare in Jan in Princeville! Must be Bill's good luck--he really does have the best luck.
Day 1 at the beach (Kee'e). Got to the house about 1am, at the beach by 8am--Melina was SO excited!

We went to a luau at the Princeville Resort and Melina had a blast! Ok, this shot is a little close. They kept passing out the Mai Tais though and who am I to pass up a cocktail with an umbrella when I'm on the beach?! Good thing we could walk home!
